We’re back this week, bringing you the next in our Social Media Roundup series. Here are the latest headlines in social media this week:

1) Facebook made several updates and introduced new features this week that appeal specifically for advertisers including custom audience retargeting options for websites and apps, new call to action buttons on page post ads as well as options for advertisers to “boost” posts that scheduled before publishing. These new features add to the already varied advertising options and simplify other challenges.

2) Facebook is also in the news this week with the announcement of the launch of their newsreader Paper, which many are saying will take the place of the-go to digital reader after the death of Google Reader last year. Facebook plans to launch the app February 3.

3) Online gaming giant Zynga has bought UK gaming company NaturalMotion, the force behind popular franchises including CSR Racing and Clumsy Ninja, for $527 million, combining Zynga’s massive social reach with a new level and standard of games.

4) Want to know how you’re connected to someone else? Know you can on LinkedIn. The business platform has launched their new “how you’re connected” tool to increase users’ ability to network with connections and forge new relationships.

5) Going to an actual restaurant seems like just too much work some days. Now you can order through straight from Foursquare, without even checking in. Foursquare is teaming up with Seamless/Grubhub to bring the food straight to you, without ever leaving your smartphone.
